We’re seeking a Vice President, Product Owner to join our Loans Enablement Platform team in Manchester, UK, in a hybrid work capacity.
Position Summary:
This role requires a higher level of experience in product management, responsible for strategic planning, managing multiple product backlogs, and mentoring junior Product Owners.
In this role, you’ll make an impact by:
Product Execution:
* Writing specifications for minor features and contributing to major features
* Negotiating implementation, making trade-offs to ensure high-quality product launches, escalating issues when necessary, and working with teams to maximize value delivery
* Assessing the quality and readiness of releases
Customer Insights:
* Formulating relevant business questions and sourcing data to inform decisions
* Using low-fidelity tools to outline design approaches and collaborating to translate them into detailed features
* Engaging with product users and prioritizing roadmap decisions based on multiple data sources
Product Strategy:
* Understanding business outcomes and how product decisions influence trade-offs
* Developing a near-term product roadmap in partnership with management and communicating it effectively to junior team members
Primary Responsibilities:
* Owning the product backlog and roadmap, ensuring proper refinement and prioritization
* Managing Agile ceremonies, tracking velocity, and improving team efficiencies
* Handling user stories, refinement processes, and stakeholder collaboration
* Overseeing technical design decisions, monitoring product performance, and analyzing key metrics
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business management or related field, or equivalent work experience
* Product management experience
* Financial services experience
