Unqualified post graduate teaching assistant Locations- Bristol, Bath and Gloucestershire Full time work available September 2025 start date Key stages 1 – 4 Daily rate - £89 - £100 Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting the next group of passionate teaching assistants to support and nurture a class of students who have special educational needs (SEN) which can include students who have mental health diagnosis, physical disabilities, communication difficulties and behaviour issues. With these factors, a strong minded person, who is empathetic and understanding is a non-negotiable for this role. You will be support students aged between 5 and 16, playing a pivotal part in the educational successes Position details September 2025 start date Monday to Friday, term time only 8:30am to 3:30pm (may vary depending on the school) Work available throughout Bristol Bath and Gloucestershire Opportunity to transition to a permeant contact with the school itself, for the right candidate. The role itself: Support students with SEN, either in small groups or on a one-to-one basis Work closely with other teaching assistant and the classroom teacher to support the learning and development of these students Support with learning contents and activities, providing assistance when and where possible Build trusting relationships with the students, making them feel safe and supported whilst in the environment that you help create for these students. Assist with the implantation of ECHP’s (educational care and health plans) The ideal candidate Someone who is passionate about the education sector and making a different to these children’s lives, looking to begin a career in the field or continue on from a previous role Strong behavioural management and communication skills Experience with SEN or challenging behaviour, either in a professional or personal capacity is sort after, but not an essential to this role, as long as you have the determination and drive, we’d love to hear from you! Previous experience within education, care or sport coaching is desirable, but not a necessity.
