A leading manufacturing company is recruiting a Company Accountant to join their finance team. This role is crucial in providing financial insights, controlling costs, and improving profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in manufacturing finance, and the ability to drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
1. Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
2. Provide cost analysis and margin reporting to support decision-making.
3. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Cost Control & Manufacturing Finance
1. Monitor production costs, material usage, and waste levels to ensure cost efficiency.
2. Work closely with production and procurement teams to optimize costing models and pricing strategies.
3. Implement and manage job costing, stock valuation, and inventory controls.
Cash Flow & Financial Planning
1. Assist in cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
2. Support the development of financial models to improve profitability and efficiency.
Compliance & Process Improvement
1. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
2. Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting systems.
3. Support audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Chartered Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
2. Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
3. Strong understanding of costing, inventory control, and financial analysis.
4. Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
