About the Role:
An experienced Catastrophe Risk Analyst is sought to join the Catastrophe Analytics team of a leading Insurance Broker. The team supports UK insurers, reinsurers, and syndicates by delivering expert insights on exposures to natural disasters such as floods, windstorms, and earthquakes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead client analytics for reinsurance placements and strategic risk projects
* Advise on emerging issues such as Climate Change, Inflation, and Event Response
* Work closely with brokers, reinsurers, and actuaries to interpret and communicate catastrophe model outputs
* Contribute to internal tools and collaborate with international teams on best practices

Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years in catastrophe analytics within broking, insurance, reinsurance, or financial services
* MSc (or higher) in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Risk, Finance, or Statistics
* Proficiency in catastrophe modelling tools (RMS, Verisk, JBA) and model evaluation
* Strong coding skills (Python, R, SQL) and experience with GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS)
* Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and data visualisation skills (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
