Job summary
We are looking to recruit an experienced Health Care Assistant to complement our established and experienced team of nurses. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, can work independently and is passionate about providing excellent patient care.
The post is part time, 16 hours per week.
The candidate will be working strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines and protocols, reporting to the lead nurse. The HCA will assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Main duties of the job
To support the Practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, delivering care within their scope of Practice to the entitled population. The HCA will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.

2. ECG's
3. B12
4. Removal of sutures and clips
5. Health Checks
6. INR Clinics
7. Taking wound care swabs
8. Blood Pressure/Weight
9. Ear Irrigation
10. Looks after stock/ordering
11. Diabetic foot checks
About us
Holbrook Surgery is a friendly and supportive Practice with a patient list size of 16,000. We are a 6 partner training practice with a varied clinical team, including salaried GPs, nurses, diabetic specialist nurse. Also,Physician Associate, paramedics and pharmacists who are employed through the Primary Care Network.
We are located in Horsham, only a 5 minute walk for the nearest train station.

Essential
12. Good time management and ability to work to deadlines.
13. Excellent communication skills both written and oral

16. Qualified to a minimum level 2 in Health and Social Care
17. Maths and English GCSE A-C

18. Knowledge of SystmOne clinical system
19. Competent in the use of Office and outlook

20. Experience of working within a Health Care setting as an experienced HCA.
21. Computer literate.
22. Evidence of up to date clinical knowledge.
