This role is based within Business Technology Solutions (BTS) and is a full-time position working 36 hours per week.
You will earn a competitive salary of £31,761.26 to £34,914.86 pro rata and have access to a range of benefits including local and national discounts for supermarkets, restaurants, and retail.
An exciting opportunity to join the Collaboration and Productivity Solutions (CaPS) Competency Centre in BTS, and work with Microsoft technologies to deliver savings and efficiencies across the Council.
you will support the effective operation and administration of the Power Platform and associated mobile solutions, working closely with the Systems Specialist and wider team. You will play an important role in ensuring smooth day-to-day service delivery while contributing to governance, user support, and platform adoption.
Key responsibilities will include:-
1. Provide duty support as required, managing and resolving assigned support calls in a timely and professional manner.
2. Assist with the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the Power Platform and mobile solutions, ensuring reliable service delivery.
3. Support the extension and configuration of the CoE Toolkit in line with requirements defined by Technical and Systems Specialists.
4. Monitor platform usage and performance, generating regular reports to support governance, risk management, and decision-making.
5. Provide first-line support to users, offering guidance on tools and best practices, and escalating more complex issues where appropriate.
6. Assist with environment management, deployments, and change activities in line with established processes and controls.
7. Contribute to the maintenance of documentation, including user guides, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
8. Support the implementation of governance controls, including data policies and access management, under guidance from senior team members.
9. Participate in training, knowledge sharing, and continuous skills development to build expertise in Power Platform technologies and administration.
10. Collaborate with colleagues across the team to support service improvements and adoption initiatives.
The Person
Educated to SCQF level 7 which includes HNC or Advanced Highers or equivalent vocational accreditation in a computing / systems or related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience in the design and use of IT solutions and tools that meet business needs.
Ability to translate logical designs into physical solutions.
Experience in the production of clear and detailed documentation for customers and colleagues.
Requires the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and work independently as needed, depending on the nature of the tasks.
Demonstrate a commitment to fostering continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest features, and adhering to best practices within the Power Platform.
