Role Summary
:
To effectively manage and coordinate the temporary workforce within a fast-paced food production environment, ensuring that staffing levels, performance, attendance, and conduct meet business and client standards. The On-site Coordinator acts as the key link between the temporary workforce, the day On-site Coordinator, and the Contract Manager, ensuring that service delivery, compliance, and company values are consistently upheld.
Key Responsibilities
People Management & Supervision
1. Oversee and coordinate temporary staff deployed across multiple production lines.
2. Monitor daily attendance, punctuality, and adherence to shift schedules.
3. Promote positive attitudes, teamwork, and professional conduct among all temporary staff.
4. Address minor conduct or performance issues promptly and professionally, escalating when required and recording relevant information and any actions taken.
5. Support the on-boarding and induction process for new temporary workers, ensuring understanding of site rules, safety, hygiene, and behavioural expectations.
Operational Delivery
6. Ensure staffing levels meet daily production and service requirements.
7. Liaise with line supervisors and shift managers to understand labour needs and redeploy resources effectively.
8. Maintain real-time visibility of staffing allocation across all production lines.
9. Report daily headcounts, absences, and performance updates to the Day On-site Coordinator and Contract Manager.
10. Support compliance with site-specific policies including health & safety, food hygiene, and quality standards.
Communication & Reporting
11. Act as the main point of contact between agency staff, client line managers, and the on-site management team within the Night shift remit.
12. Provide accurate daily reports on attendance, performance, and workforce trends.
13. Escalate recurring issues or workforce risks to the Contract Manager in a timely manner.
14. Participate in regular review meetings with client and on-site management teams.

Experience & Qualifications
26. Previous experience in an on-site coordination or supervisory role (preferably in a food production or manufacturing setting).
27. Experience managing temporary or agency staff.
28. Basic understanding of employment practices and workforce compliance.
29. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and workforce management systems.
30. Flexibility to work varying shifts to meet operational needs.
