Overview
The Clinical Trial Learning & Training (CTL&T) organization develops and implements training strategy and design for clinical trial training and GCO functional role‑based global onboarding programs. The Manager, GCO Learning & Training will create, define, and drive learning strategy, techniques, and process capabilities to enable an industry‑leading approach for training GCO clinical trial teams and sites.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop functional role‑based training programs and study‑specific training programs.
* Oversee content development, manage projects, manage vendors, measure learning effectiveness, and engage stakeholders and learners.
* Act as primary point of contact for external vendors involved in content creation.
* Partner closely with CTL&T colleagues, SMEs, and stakeholders to conduct learning needs assessments.
* Support CTL&T representatives to develop high‑quality training solutions leveraging fit‑for‑purpose techniques.
* Define measures to assess, monitor, and report on the effectiveness and impact of training interventions.
* Create plans for training materials, participant guides, facilitator guides, job aids, performance support tools, and evaluation strategies.
* Manage multiple learning projects and potentially lead an internal or external team of learning professionals.
* Maintain knowledge of industry trends, training techniques, innovative technologies, and evaluation processes.
* Coach and mentor peers in adult learning principles and training strategies.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
* BA/BS required (preferably instructional design, training, instructional technology, or education); MA/MS highly preferred.
* 8–10 years of business experience in education, design, and development.
* Pharmaceutical industry or medical experience preferred (hematology, oncology, neurology).
* Experience with organizational change management and leading large‑scale training initiatives.
* Strong leadership, collaboration, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Excellent consulting, influencing, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
* Vendor management experience and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Experience with e‑learning, virtual, or mobile delivery methods.
* Strong knowledge of ADDIE and SAM models, LMS, SCORM standards, and current instructional theories.
* Ability to apply adult learning principles in blended learning solutions.
* Customer‑focused with data‑driven approach to training needs analysis and effectiveness.
* Familiarity with content authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, MS Office.
