Are you an experienced, confident, and passionate Dental Therapist ready to take the next step in your career?
We are seeking a highly skilled clinician to join our modern Merseyside practice, working alongside a friendly and well-established team of dentists, dental nurses, treatment coordinators, and practice managers who are committed to delivering outstanding patient care in both NHS and private settings.
This role is also suitable for UK-based Dental Therapists seeking career progression.
Your Role
As a valued member of our clinical team, you will:
1. Deliver exceptional care: Provide high-quality dental hygiene and direct access dental therapy services to NHS and private patients
2. Work autonomously: Practise confidently under Direct Access regulations with clinical support available
3. Collaborate effectively: Work closely with dentists and the wider team to achieve excellent clinical outcomes
4. Enhance patient journeys: Deliver patient-centred preventive care, education, and treatment planning
5. Maintain standards: Ensure accurate clinical records and full compliance with infection prevention and governance protocols
Key Requirements
We are looking for a clinician who demonstrates:
6. GDC Registration: Current and valid registration as a Dental Therapist
7. Direct Access competency: Fully trained and competent to work under Direct Access
8. Experience: Minimum 7 years post-graduation clinical experience (NHS and private experience preferred)
9. Professional approach: Strong ethical standards, safeguarding awareness, and confidentiality compliance
10. Team mindset: A proactive, collaborative approach within a multi-disciplinary practice
Core Clinical Competencies
The ideal candidate will be confident in some or all of the following:
11. Periodontics: Scaling, RSD, periodontal charting and maintenance
12. Restorative dentistry: Composite work, minimally invasive approaches, crown support polishing
13. Preventive care: Fluoride applications, fissure sealants, risk-based patient education
14. Paediatric dentistry: Behaviour management and preventive programmes
15. Radiography: Imaging and interpretation within scope
16. Digital dentistry: Intraoral scanning, digital charting, CAD/CAM familiarity
17. Orthodontic support: Impressions and fixed/removable appliance support
18. Aesthetic dentistry: Shade matching, whitening protocols, cosmetic polishing
19. Endodontic & prosthodontic support: Adjustments and assistance as required
20. Oral surgery support: Simple extraction support and suturing experience is beneficial
Technical & Professional Skills
21. Excellent manual dexterity and indirect-vision proficiency
22. Strong infection prevention and cross-infection control practices
23. Accurate, compliant, and timely clinical documentation
24. Effective time management and treatment prioritisation
25. Sound clinical judgement and decision-making

You should be able to demonstrate competency in:
