A prestigious US law firm with a strong global presence is looking for a Conflicts Lawyer to support its Risk & Compliance function in their London offices.
The successful candidate for the Conflicts Lawyer role will play a crucial role in identifying, analysing, and resolving legal and commercial conflicts of interest across the firm’s global practice, ensuring compliance with professional conduct rules and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities for the Conflicts Lawyer role:
Review and analyse new business intake for potential conflicts of interest, including lateral hires, new matters, and new clients.
Liaise with partners, attorneys, and global conflicts/compliance teams to clarify issues and resolve conflicts.
Advise on the application of relevant conflict rules and firm policies.
Assist with the development and implementation of procedures to improve conflicts and risk management processes.
Support training and guidance for lawyers and staff on conflicts issues.
Contribute to broader compliance and regulatory risk projects as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent common law jurisdiction).
2–3 years’ post-qualification experience in a law firm, ideally in conflicts or a related risk role.
Strong working knowledge of conflicts rules under SRA and/or ABA guidelines.
Knowledge of InTapp conflict checking and business intake systems a plus.
