Quantity Surveyor Groundworks / Civil Engineering Location: West Lothian Salary: £40,000 £55,000 (DOE) Package Hours: 37.5 hours per week (MonFri, 8:30am5:00pm) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent The Opportunity We're working with a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in West Lothian, looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This role is ideal for a QS with experience in groundworks or civils who's ready to take on a new challenge working for a fast-growing business, working with blue chip clients on some of Scotland largest projects. You'll run your own projects, reporting directly to the Commercial Director, From tender handover to final account, you'll be involved in the full commercial lifecycle, supporting efficient project delivery and long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial aspects of multiple groundworks and infrastructure projects Oversee cost planning, cash flow forecasting, valuations and change control Prepare and manage subcontractor packages and procurement Monitor project costs against budgets and identify variations or risks Liaise with operational/site teams to ensure accurate progress reporting Assist in preparing final accounts and post-project analysis Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers Report to the Commercial Manager on project performance and key issues Ensure compliance with contract terms, processes and health & safety regulations What's in it for you?
