Overview
The role focuses on delivering the UK’s No.1 Defence Priority—ensuring submarine availability through complex, high-impact programmes. This is a career-defining opportunity to lead critical projects that directly support national security, while developing leadership and project management expertise in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
* Leading on Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality within the project.
* Developing project documentation including plans, schedules, risk registers and technical specifications.
* Delivering projects to agreed scope, time and budget, aligned with business success criteria.
* Establishing and maintaining governance arrangements for project delivery.
* Planning and monitoring programme performance, reporting regularly to senior stakeholders.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.
Essential Experience
* Significant experience within the UK Submarine Enterprise.
* Proven ability to manage complex situations and adapt strategies effectively.
* Skilled in coaching and developing teams.
* Proficient in project life cycles, governance, financial management, stakeholder engagement and communication.
* Strong leadership across multiple related teams and functions.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
* APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent.
* Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
