Overview
Quality Engineer required in Sandbach, Cheshire. Seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with knowledge of automotive core tools and 8D problem solving. The role is day shifts Monday to Friday (39 hours per week).
Responsibilities
* Interpret and analyse engineering drawings, including GD&T, to ensure precision and accuracy.
* Utilise measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to maintain high-quality standards.
* Apply knowledge of automotive core tools (PPAP, MSA, Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, APQP) to drive quality assurance.
* Manage and resolve customer and internal quality issues using problem-solving techniques (e.g., 8D reports).
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in welding/fabrication/sheet metal.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T).
* Proficient in basic measuring equipment and quality tools.
* Experience with automotive core tools and problem-solving methodologies.
* Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Desirable Knowledge And Experience
* CSWIP 3.0 or 3.1 certification (advantageous but not essential).
* HNC or higher in an engineering discipline (preferred but not essential).
* Experience in welding or fabrication environments and familiarity with advanced inspection equipment.
* Experience with calibration systems and IMDS or IATF 16949 knowledge or internal auditing experience.
Location: Sandbach, Cheshire. This role is based in Sandbach.
