Job Purpose
To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting well‑being, and supporting clients to achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
* Support individuals with mobility and physical assistance, including the safe use of aids and equipment.
* Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
* Administer or prompt medication according to care plans and company policy (where trained and authorised).
* Encourage clients' participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
* Support emotional well‑being by building trusting and compassionate relationships.
* Monitor and report changes in clients' health, behaviour, or needs to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
* Keep accurate, timely, and confidential records of care provided.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for service users.
* Work in partnership with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
* Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications and Experience

* NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards) preferred.
* Basic First Aid and Manual Handling training (advantageous).Willingness to undergo a DBS check (or equivalent background screening).
Working Conditions
* Shift-based work including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
* Work may involve physical tasks such as lifting and supporting individuals.
* Travel between service locations may be required (for community-based roles)
