An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to fill the role of Lived Experience Service Coordinator, focusing on the social inclusion element of the Futures Together service in Essex.
Futures Together is a commissioned service combining the expertise of two Essex Phoenix Futures services - the Criminal Justice service and the Social Inclusion service. Our team is committed to providing support and social inclusion opportunities for people who use our services, and across Essex to make a positive impact.
Responsibilities
* Maximise opportunities, design and deliver workshops for people who use our services to reach their education and training goals.
* Foster relationships with local training and employment providers across Essex to secure new and meaningful training and employment opportunities, conducted through regular scoping exercises with service users.
* Create a menu of supportive groups for services including Gypsy Roma Traveller, Carers and Families, and those in active addiction.
* Collaborate with team members, peer mentors, volunteers and service users to co-produce, design and deliver therapeutic and training activities.
* Adapt to learners’ needs and encourage group participation to enhance the learning process.
* Create an inclusive and interactive environment, guiding participants through their learning journey and fostering self-discovery and collaborative learning.
* Establish and maintain relationships with the community and partners to secure opportunities to deliver groups and training packages within premises and community settings.
* Liaise with the team to identify training requirements of service users and, where appropriate, develop bespoke training to meet identified needs.
* Understand the barriers to employment for service users and engage county providers to develop and maintain links for service users.
* Support service users through workshops and training to identify strengths and areas for development to inform care plan support needs.
* Ensure the service remains a safe and drug-free environment by linking with treatment providers where relapse is suspected or at risk.
* In conjunction with the team, ensure a safe learning environment in which the diverse needs of learners can be appropriately met.
Working arrangements and expectations
The role offers a work schedule of 37.5 hours per week, allowing for autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support. Salary, leave and benefits
Starting salary of £24,637 per annum, pro rata, with the opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal. This is a fixed-term post until 31/03/2027. 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays pro-rata, increasing each year to a maximum of 30 days.
