About the Role:
We are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 class in a school within the Treorchy area. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in supporting the class teacher and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide general classroom support within a Year 2 setting
Assist the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
Work with small groups of pupils to support learning and progress
Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment
Help prepare resources and assist with lesson delivery
Requirements:
Excellent classroom management skills
Ability to work confidently with small groups of children
Proactive, with strong initiative and the ability to work independently
Comfortable working with minimal direction from the class teacher
Reliable, adaptable, and committed to full-time work
Previous experience working within a primary school setting is desirable
