£13 per hour, term-time only
30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday
About the role
We want you... People are the most important ingredient in our business recipe, and we are looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter with fantastic craft skills and a thorough understanding and knowledge of managing allergens to help us create an outstanding food offer at our school site in Kingston, with approximately 400 children on site. You will be reporting into the Chef Manager at the main school site.
We play an important part in students learning and development, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion about ensuring that our future generations are provided with nutritious and delicious food, while also inspiring them to lead a healthier lifestyle. As our ideal Kitchen Porter you will:
* Have good communication skills at all levels
* Perform general kitchen duties
* Use a mechanical dishwasher and sinks to wash up
* Put away deliveries with good stock practice
* Carry out pot washing and dish cleaning
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area
* Undertake all basic training and work effectively with colleagues as part of a team
* Speak to each customer and team member in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
The ideal candidate will also have the flexibility to work overtime as required.
