Own and technically manage a complex, multi‑asset estate (offices, contact centres, exchanges and retail) for BT, ensuring safe, compliant and high‑performing buildings across your cluster.
Lead all QHSE activity onsite, with deep knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, environmental compliance, risk management, audits, RIDDOR, Dynamic Risk Assessments and contractor control.
Take full operational control of hard and soft FM delivery, including PPM, reactive and corrective works, asset data management, statautory maintenance and lifecycle planning.
Act as the single point of technical accountability for customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, providing expert guidance and assurance on building performance and compliance.
Manage budgets, P&L and financial performance, including forecasting, WIP, purchasing, margin improvement and cost control, ensuring value for money under the BT contract.
Drive performance through data and systems, using KPIs, PMS, MI reporting, asset registers, CBRE logbooks and FM technology platforms (e.g. MFM apps and work order systems).
Oversee major works and project transitions, acting as technical liaison from delivery through to seamless handover into business‑as‑usual operations.
Lead, develop and technically upskill your team, providing clear objectives, compliance training, safety leadership and a strong customer‑focused culture.
Proactively manage operational risk and incidents, including business continuity events, environmental issues and escalations, with clear communication and decisive leadership.
Build strong supplier and authority relationships, ensuring professional governance, contract compliance, fair treatment, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.Person Specification:
Previous facilities management experience, this includes line management responsibility and contractor management
Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
High degree and knowledge reference of Health and Safety legislation, environmental protection requirements and ideally IOSH or NEBOSH qualified
The ability to understand complex problems and make recommendations whilst remaining calm under pressure
Able to demonstrate an empowering and inspiring leadership style
Strong commercial acumen is essential, and experience of managing a P&L is preferable
