Future Tutor Opportunity
Explore Learning is looking for future tutors across the UK, especially at the Cheltenham centre.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored sessions using Compass to facilitate learning through questioning, scaffolding and stretching.
* Build meaningful relationships with a 16:1 ratio, providing a safe, inspiring environment where children can take risks and develop a lifelong love of learning.
* Drive academic progress by supporting members through the national curriculum, entrance exams and GCSE preparation, celebrating milestones and successes along the way.
Ideal Candidate Qualities
* Confident leading small group sessions (up to 16 students), inspiring engagement, using positive behaviour management strategies and prioritising safety and wellbeing.
* Comfortable supporting children aged 4–16 across the national curriculum, including 11+ entrance exams and GCSE content.
* Committed to building meaningful, long‑term relationships and providing consistency and stability that helps children thrive.
Location & Contract
Location: On‑site at our Cheltenham centre.
Contract: Part‑time, minimum 6 hours a week spread over at least two weekdays.
Shift times: 3:30‑4:00 pm Tuesday, 3:30‑4:00 pm Wednesday, 3:30‑4:00 pm Thursday, 3:30‑4:00 pm Friday and morning/afternoon Saturday.
Pay & Progression
Base hourly rates: Under 18: £840, 18‑20: £10.90, 21+: £12.75. An additional £0.50 per hour will be added if working at a centre inside the M25. Pay increases annually based on hours tutored.

Requirements
* Minimum age 16 and right to work in the UK.
* Achieved Grade 6 or above in Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent; predicted grades acceptable if results are forthcoming within 3 months.
* Proof of eligibility to work required; no sponsorship is offered.
