Youâll join a multi-skilled engineering team working directly with the data centre building services shift technicians.\n\nWe have 2 Edinburgh data centres supporting the electrical and mechanical services that help the key technology systems which provide banking services to our customers.\n\nYouâll be involved in the operation and maintenance of the mechanical and electrical systems of the data centre, including planned maintenance and repairs of existing equipment and the installation of new components. \n\nHelp to identify and control risks to the health and safety to you, colleagues and vendors that may occur due to work activities.\n\nThe main goal of the department is to ensure that the building services systems equipment operates reliably and efficiently 24/7/365. \nâ¢\tWeâll provide all the technical training youâll need to be successful in your role \nâ¢\tYouâll complete the externally accredited Engineering: Asset Lifecycle and Maintenance Level 7 apprenticeship programme, which will set you up with excellent career \n prospects\n\nâ¢\tSuccessful completion of year 1 will see you obtain both SVQ Level 2 and NC in Electrical Engineering\nâ¢\tFrom year 2 to completion working towards your SVQ Level 3 in the workplace via EDETA.\nâ¢\tUpon completing the full 4-year Apprenticeship you will receive an SVQ Level 3 plus MA Award\nâ¢\tOther relevant training will also take place during the Apprenticeship such as that in relation to Health and Safety\n\nThe apprenticeship will last 4 years in total.
