Welsh-Speaking Cover Supervisor – Secondary School – Cardiff – Full-Time\n\nJob Type: Full-Time (term-time)\n Start Date: September 2025\n Location: Cardiff\n Salary: £110–£120 per day (dependent on experience)\n Employer: Teaching Personnel\n\nComplimentary training provided by Teaching Personnel.\n\nAre you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for education?\n\nDo you have experience working with young people and want to take the next step in your career?\n\nTeaching Personnel is currently seeking a Fluent Welsh-Speaking Cover Supervisor to work full-time at a secondary school in Cardiff starting September 2025.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching, youth work, or education support. Candidates from a sports background are particularly encouraged to apply, though this is not essential.\n\n✅ Key Responsibilities:\n\nDeliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects in the absence of the classroom teacher\nManage classroom behaviour and support student engagement\nWork closely with teaching staff and SLT to ensure continuity of learning\nSupport learners aged 11–16 across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4\n\n Requirements:\n\nFluent Welsh speaker\nPrevious experience working with secondary-aged pupils (e.g., in education, coaching, youth work)\nStrong classroom presence and excellent communication skills\nEnthusiastic, adaptable, and confident managing whole-class settings\nA sports coaching background is desirable, but not required\n\n⭐ What’s in it for you?\n\nFull-time position from September 2025\nOpportunity to work in a supportive secondary school\nGain valuable classroom experience – ideal for aspiring teachers\nAccess to CPD opportunities through Teaching Personnel (e.g., Cover Supervisor training, behaviour management)\nCompetitive daily rate paid weekly via PAYE\nAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
