As part of their continued growth journey, they are now looking to appoint a National Account Manager to lead across the Convenience Channel, delivering commercial excellence, innovation, and long-term customer value.
The Role
As National Account Manager – Convenience Channel, you will take ownership of a strategically important and fast-moving channel. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving customer growth, unlocking new opportunities, and building strong commercial partnerships across major Convenience Channel operators.
* Channel Ownership with Growth Accountability
Drive growth through full management of key Convenience Channel accounts, taking end-to-end ownership of commercial plans, relationships, and delivery.
* Strategic Customer Development
Build and strengthen relationships across the customer matrix, including supply chain, finance, marketing, and leadership. Operate as a trusted strategic partner.
* Full P&L Accountability
Own commercial performance to Contribution Level, not just gross margin. Balance short-term trading wins with long-term value creation.
* Lead NPD & Category Solutions
Champion innovation, lead product launches, and translate consumer trends into impactful propositions tailored for the Convenience Channel.
* Create and Deliver Joint Business Plans (JBPs)
Negotiate and implement JBPs that align commercial and brand ambitions with customer priorities.
* Drive Distribution and Range Expansion
Grow distribution of core and new products, managing the product mix to optimise margin and drive mutual value.
* Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate across supply chain, category, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
* Commercial Influence at Every Level
Work confidently with senior leadership both internally and externally, demonstrating credibility and clarity in complex commercial conversations.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a high-potential commercial leader with strong foundations in FMCG account management and the hunger to take on a major commercial role.
* Strong FMCG experience in branded or own label food and drink
* Current experience managing National Accounts, or poised for a step-up
* A commercial mindset with an understanding of both strategic and tactical drivers
* Proven success in customer growth, P&L delivery, and category influence
* Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, agile environment
* Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
* Action-orientated, ambitious, and ready for their biggest challenge yet
