Injection Moulding Lead Setter
Day Shift: 8-5 Monday - Friday
Type: Permanent
Salary: £35,000
Location: Lancashire
Responsibilities
* Oversee and carry out efficient injection moulding machine setups and tool changes
* Ensure machines are running to cycle time, optimizing for efficiency and output
* Lead and mentor a team of setters, tool slingers, and apprentices
* Allocate daily tasks and provide clear instructions to the team
* Monitor team performance and support training and development plans
* Work with production management to improve working practices and processes
* Accurately record downtime, tool change reasons, and scrap removal processes
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
* Ensure team compliance with health & safety regulations and PPE requirements
* Support production targets and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
* 4-5 years' experience as a setter in injection moulding (or similar manufacturing environment)
* Experience leading or mentoring team members, with knowledge of performance management
* Strong mechanical and engineering knowledge
* Proactive and hands-on with excellent problem-solving skills
* Good communication, organisational, and leadership abilities
* Confident working under pressure and meeting production targets
* Accountable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
* Familiar with logging production data and downtime accurately
* Desirable: Relevant engineering or manufacturing qualification (e.g. IMT L3, NVQ L2, Engineering Apprenticeship)
