Experian Global Security Office (EGSO) provides a full suite of information security services from engineering to security risk management, policy, metrics, and identity management. Its vision is to protect, connect, and create its business in a secure and resilient manner. The Information Security Governance team is the principal advocate for information security and is responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive information security strategy to optimize the security posture of the organization.
As our Security Governance Senior Technical Policy Specialist, you will join a talented and experienced information security team and help define the security posture of a top global company. You’ll have the opportunity to influence all areas of Experian’s business while becoming an expert in security best practices, standards, and regulations.
To thrive in this role, you must possess broad and deep knowledge of information security, be detail-oriented, and able to simplify complex security concepts for diverse audiences across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
* Leading research and development of information security policies and supporting documents, including detailed technical baselines based on industry best practices, with a focus on emerging technologies and Cloud.
* Communicating outcomes to senior leadership and negotiating with subject matter experts on technical details of policies and documents.
* Collaborating with industry partners to shape industry frameworks and standards, and providing insights on trends and the external security landscape.
* Reviewing and providing expert challenge on business units’ programs to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
* Driving continuous improvement of the Information Security Policy and Standards teams, incorporating new technologies like AI and ML.
Qualifications
* Experience in areas such as Information Security, Technology Governance, Technology Audit, or IT Compliance.
* Deep knowledge of IT technologies and security methods, especially Cloud security and AWS.
* Understanding of control and risk management concepts and operational aspects of information risk.
* Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, COBIT, CMMI, OWASP, ITIL).
* Certifications such as CCSP, CRISC, CISSP, or CISM, or equivalent experience.
