Job Description
Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for an Acoustics Engineer to join their team on an Inside IR35 contract.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.
Duties:
* Responsible for monitoring and minimising the variability of wind noise performance on current production vehicle lines.
* Be an in-plant representative for the wind noise attribute, acting as a voice of the customer in the manufacturing environment.
* The role is to detect where attribute performance could vary away from target (via. objective measurement, subjective drive, static assessment/measurement, over checking build conformance to assembly process, etc.).
* Perform initial root cause investigation and drive issues through to resolution with the relevant responsible areas.
* This role will liaise closely with Core Aeroacoustics Team to understand future products entering plant launch and their critical attribute characteristics as well as ongoing quality actions on current products.
* Flexibility to work across various sites (Gaydon / Coventry / Solihull / Halewood) is required.
Skills Required:
1. Experience of working in an automotive production plant quality role.
2. Experience applying engineering problem solving methodologies (six sigma / 8D / Root Cause Analysis) to complex issues.
