We are currently looking for clinical practitioners to join our friendly team at Lymington Urgent Treatment Centre. About the Service
The Urgent Treatment Centre handles approximately 20,000 attendances annually, for both adults and children. We pride ourselves on the quality of service provided to our community.
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant should have some experience working as an autonomous practitioner, either in the Emergency Department or an urgent care setting. Other applicants with relevant experience may also be considered. Suitable previous roles include Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Care Practitioner, or Specialist Paramedic. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in assessing and treating patients with minor injuries and illnesses.

Essential Criteria
1. Registered with NMC or HCPC
2. Experience in primary or urgent care settings
3. Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
4. Minor injury and illness qualification (preferably at level 7)
5. At or working towards a Masters qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating advanced clinical practice
6. Competent in taking clinical histories (excluding red flags) and conducting physical examinations for undifferentiated conditions
7. Ability to keep mandatory education up to date
8. Maintain a clinical portfolio evidencing advanced health assessment skills and competencies
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially listening
10. Understanding of professional responsibility and accountability
11. Good organizational skills and ability to manage workload
12. Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute primary care presentations
13. Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check and authorized to work in the UK
Desirable Skills
1. A&E experience
2. Lab result interpretation training
3. IRMER training
4. Teaching or mentorship qualification
5. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
6. Experience in chronic disease management
7. Familiarity with internet healthcare resources
