The Role This is a full-time Specialist Teaching Assistant position supporting pupils aged 5–16. Working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm. The role involves providing higher-level classroom support across both primary and secondary age groups, working closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions, promote positive engagement, and support pupils with their individual learning and wellbeing needs. An immediate start is available. Student Needs Pupils may present with a range of complex special educational needs, including autism spectrum conditions, moderate to severe learning difficulties, communication challenges, sensory processing differences, and social, emotional or behavioural needs. The school places a strong emphasis on understanding each pupil’s individual profile and delivering consistent, personalised support. Requirements Applicants should have a minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs. Experience working in specialist or therapeutic settings is highly desirable. You must be patient, adaptable, and confident supporting pupils with more complex needs. Due to the location of the school, being able to drive is essential.
