Due to staff relocation, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 acute Speech and Language Therapist, at West Middlesex University Hospital. We are looking for someone with specialist clinical knowledge and skills, who is enthusiastic about service promotion and development.
The adult service offers regular site specific and cross-site full department meetings. There is consistent access to formal and informal supervision, CPD, as well as, regular peer support and supervision.
The role is based on the acute wards at West Middlesex University Hospital and provides excellent opportunities for on-going personal and professional development. We are looking for someone who has experience with Videofluoroscopy and / or tracheostomy, but full support for competencies and training will be provided where needed. The post holder will be expected to manage a complex SLT caseload independently, providing second opinions and advice for junior staff when required. They will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be expected to work collaboratively with patients, carers, and colleagues, the voluntary sector and Social Services in regards to the planning and delivery of care.
