Overview

Owing to continued success, DPS are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join our business. The primary responsibility of the Project Engineer is to oversee the technical aspects of projects that have been given to them and complete scheduled projects on time, within budget and as per specifications, while ensuring the highest level of Health and Safety over the full project lifecycle. The role requires management of technical projects requiring a high level of collaboration across each DPS Group department to manage personnel, budgets, and project planning to meet the expectation of the project, and to minimize any Health & Safety, Financial or Technical risks associated with a project. As a project and client lead you will be coordinating with stakeholders across all areas of the project to interpret needs, expectations, and limitations and bring them together with the aim of successful project delivery. Although home/office-based, you will spend a significant amount of time on site covering multiple projects where required.


Responsibilities

* Set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with DPS Group procedures and legal obligations.
* Assist in maintaining our Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001) and other certifications.
* Act as the client liaison throughout the project lifecycle, managing both the client and DPS Group's expectations.
* Collaborate with Vendors and across the DPS Group departments to ensure satisfactory completion of a project.
* Manage project financials, ensuring departments are working within budget.
* Build and develop positive relationships with customers and be the primary contact for technical and implementation aspects of the project.
* Develop technical specifications and Health and Safety documentation for subcontract works and manage works to meet delivery times and quality standards. Check competency of contract personnel prior to commencement of works.
* Develop project plans with Microsoft Project and ensure the plan is managed and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
* Generate, control and submit project-related documentation through the full life cycle in a timely manner.
* Complete any required training to a professional standard and maintain Continuous Personal Development.
* Report incidents, accidents or near misses immediately to the HSEQ Manager or Project Manager and assist in completion of HSEQ documentation.


What Do You Need?

* Electrical Engineer / Electronic Engineer / Control Systems Engineer / Mechatronics degree qualified or equivalent experience with a recognised Apprenticeship
* Demonstrable experience delivering EC&I projects
* Stakeholder management experience
* ECS H&S card (preferred)
