About the role

As part of the Operations team, you will be reporting to the Operations Manager. You will also be working along with all Department Managers, Sales, Compliance, IT and key contacts within the Talley’s group. Remuneration will be based on your experience and qualifications, with the Annual Salary ranging between $130K - $150K.

You will be mainly working from Monday – Friday. Some additional hours and weekend work may be required.

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for:

Enhancing operational performance and divisional profitability, working closely with all departments, to initiate, prioritise and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement program, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and cost.

Leading end-to-end planning and execution of all operational CI initiatives, to drive tangible change and improve processes and efficiency with particular focus on uptime, product yield and run rates.

Plan, execute and report on improvement projects to improve quality, safety and productivity, reduce overhead costs and increase margins by optimising labour, procurement, technology etc.

Optimising the utilisation of process control systems (e.g. TilliT) and data management, delivering real-time and historic reporting to support effective decision making at all levels in the business.

Leading and coordinate New Product Development (NPD) initiatives to meet strategic objectives.

For this role, you’ll need:

Industrial and Systems Engineering degree or comparable qualification.

At least 3 years of CI experience (designing and executing CI projects) in a manufacturing environment.

A firm understanding of manufacturing principles (Lean, 5-S) with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Experience in food manufacturing would be useful but not essential.

Experience in coaching, training and stakeholder engagement.
