In this role, you'll provide high-quality hardware and software support to colleagues across all levels of the business, both remotely and face-to-face. As a Desktop Services Engineer, you'll handle 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support, responding promptly to incidents and service requests while ensuring compliance with IT and InfoSec policies. You'll work with technologies such as Windows OS, Citrix, Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Teams, and Azure, gaining exposure to various desktop hardware and infrastructure. You'll also play a key role in delivering a consistent and efficient service as we transition to a shared services model, supporting a diverse user base in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
We are looking for someone with:
* A recognised qualification in an IT-related discipline, such as ITIL Accreditation (desirable) or Service Desk Institute accreditation (desirable)
* Previous experience providing high-quality desktop support to a large user base
* Experience with corporate office systems, including Microsoft Windows, Office 365, printers, desktops/laptops, and mobile devices
* Understanding and experience of laptop and desktop hardware maintenance
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and high standards
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
* Good understanding of IT management controls, processes, and procedures in service delivery
* Knowledge of legislative and regulatory influences relevant to the credit and finance sectors
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet responsibilities and deliverables
* Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing
