The hotel
The Dixon, Tower Bridge, a boutique style hotel part of Autograph Collection Hotels and opened its doors in late 2018. Taking centre stage in the Tower Bridge neighbourhood on Tooley Street, The Dixon, Tower Bridge, Autograph Collection is set to be become a new cultural hub for the capitals centre of artistic activity.
Named after John Dixon Butler, the architect who originally constructed the building in 1905 as a Magistrates Court and police station, the hotel takes inspiration from the areas vibrant cultural heritage, while also capturing its new wave of creative cool.
The 193 rooms will redefine the traditional boutique hotel by seamlessly incorporating the local neighbourhoods culture through an artful mix of heritage design. Think simple brickwork, tall windows and modern furniture from British designers that will sit alongside more classic pieces, whilst curated artworks from local artists will hang on the walls.
Cleverly reflecting the buildings purpose as a courtroom, the restaurant will serve as a neighbourhood oasis that will welcome not only hotel guests but also the local trade.

About the role
The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience.
You'll supervise, train and work alongside your team to ensure all hotel rooms and public areas are sparklingly clean and in tip-top condition, ensuring our high standards are maintained and delivered to company standard.
In this role youll be organised, preparing for your day ahead, keeping on top of required supplies and amenities, always trying to minimise waste and reporting when more items are required.
You'll also support the housekeeping leadership team to ensure all requirements and targets are met in line with set timeframes, and ensure the department runs smoothly in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
People
* To induct and train all housekeeping team members to ensure in order to build and maintain an effective reception team.
* Provide day to day operational support to the housekeeping team members.
* To recognize and reward team members for exceptional performance.
* Drive all Reception KPIs related to quality (TripAdvisor, Booking.com Cleanliness etc).
* Encourage and mentor the team in the delivery of business objectives and their own personal development.
Quality
* To engage with guests, members, VIPS etc.
* To drive service standards to ensure guest expectations are met and exceeded.
* To ensure consistent supervisory presence and support for staff and guests .
* To understand all systems in the hotel relating to quality standards, controls and strategic management of the business.
* To support and participate in the resolution of any guest complaints with urgency and ensure feedback is reviewed, responded to, and utilized in the business.
Profit
* To manage and control Housekeeping costs where required.
* To ensure appropriate controls and procedures are in place to minimize refunds, allowances, and loss of revenue.
About you
* Previous experience in a similar role, in a 4* hotel environment for at least 1 year
* Great leadership skills
* Strong communication skills through a variety of means
* Self-motivated, adaptable, an excellent team motivator and team builder
* Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapting your approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks
* High attention to detail and accuracy great at managing ones own time and the time of the team
* Proficient in health and safety and a confident trainer to train the team to meet company and compliance requirements
