Overview

Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across either EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and interests. You will assist the class teacher, work with small groups, and support individual pupils to help them reach their full potential.


Responsibilities

* Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom tasks
* Supporting pupils with their learning, both in groups and 1:1
* Helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
* Encouraging social and emotional development
* Liaising with staff and parents to support pupil progress


What we're looking for

* Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
* A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
* A good understanding of primary education
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)

Safeguarding and requirements

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.


Additional information

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
