Job Description
TOMRA Collection is on an exciting growth journey, and we’re looking for a structured, collaborative P&O Coordinator to join our UK team. This is more than an HR role—it’s your opportunity to help build and scale a dynamic organization that’s transforming the way the world recycles.
As we prepare for the rollout of our Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) in the upcoming Deposit Return Scheme across the UK, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day HR operations and supporting the development of a high-performing team. At TOMRA, you’ll work in a purpose-driven environment where your ideas matter, your expertise is valued, and your contribution helps create a more sustainable future.
In the early phase, you’ll focus on recruitment and onboarding, ensuring compliance and implementing health & safety systems. As we grow, you’ll help establish robust HR processes together with the Head of People & Organisation (P&O) to make the employee lifecycle smooth and engaging. Over time, you’ll take on a full generalist HR remit, covering learning & development, compensation & benefits, employee relations, health & safety, recruitment and culture initiatives—all while maintaining accurate HR systems and GDPR-compliant data.
What You’ll Do
* Be the go-to HR contact – Handle local HR queries and escape to your direct Manager (Head of P&O UK) when needed.
* Manage HR documentation – Prepare contracts, letters, and keep policies up to date.
* Drive a positive culture – Promote workplace practices, health & safety, and organize engagement events.
* Co‑ordinate and support recruitment efforts – Work closely with our Regional Recruitment Manager to ensure effective end‑to‑end hiring processes in the UK.
* Support people initiatives – Partner with managers on performance, engagement, and team development.
* Provide expert HR advice – Guide managers and employees on employee relations, compliance, and legislation.
* Deliver HR operations excellence – Maintain HR systems, reporting, salary reviews, and company‑wide communications.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
* HR Qualification – Degree or diploma in Human Resources.
* Relevant Experience – 5+ years in HR with strong generalist background; recruitment and health & safety experience is a plus.
* Stakeholder Management Skills – Ability to build trust and influence across all levels.
* Technical Know-How – Solid understanding of UK employment law, H&S regulations, and data administration.
* Recruitment Expertise – Skilled in managing end‑to‑end hiring processes or a significant part of the process.
* Adaptable & Proactive – Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
* Tech‑Savvy – Confident using HR systems and ensuring GDPR compliance.
