Bookkeeper up to £32,000 Full Time | Office Based | Warrington A growing business based in Warrington is looking to appoint a confident and proactive Bookkeeper to join its finance team. This isnt a run-of-the-mill bookkeeping role. The business is looking for someone whos comfortable picking up the phone, asking questions, and improving the way things are done. Its about understanding the detail behind the numbers, challenging where needed, and helping to keep everything running smoothly. Youll join a small, fast-paced finance team and take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping tasks - maintaining accurate records, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring financial data is always reliable and up to date. Key Responsibilities Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping function across purchase and sales ledgers Processing invoices, payments and receipts Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts Supporting with month-end journals and reporting Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve queries Assisting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks and continuous process improvement Ideal Candidate Profile Previous experience in a bookkeeping or all-round accounts role AAT qualification (or studying towards) would be advantageous but not essential Strong communication skills and confidence speaking to stakeholders Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills A proactive, questioning mindset with the ability to work in a changing environment Package Up to £32,000 depending on experience Office based in Warrington Full time, permanent About us: This Bookkeeper role is handled by McCarthy Recruitment, an award-winning multi-sector recruiter.
