Horizon Teachers are currently working with a Special Needs School in Lewisham that are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in their Year 4 class that has Autism and requires extra support within class. This Specialist School caters for children aged 4 - 19 with Special Educational Needs, such as Autism. This school is passionate about creating innovating learning opportunities to best help promote development for all children.As a Learning Support Assistant within this school, you will need to help manage children's behaviour and support with class work. You will be working alongside a team of experienced and passionate Teachers and Support Staff within the school.This role is to start ASAP until the end of the academic year in July 2025, on a full time basis. * Supporting a mixed class of students aged 4 -16
* Carrying out behaviour management in line with the school's policies and procedures
* Accompanying and supporting students with their academic and personal development.
