Room Leader (Senior Nursery Practitioner)
We are seeking experienced Room Leaders to join a large, well-organised Early Years setting in South East London. This role is ideal for a confident Senior Practitioner or an existing Room Leader looking for a supportive setting with real opportunities for progression.
The nursery has a strong team culture, values staff wellbeing and promotes from within wherever possible.
The role
As Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room while leading and supporting a small team to deliver outstanding childcare and education.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading practice within the room

Supporting and mentoring team members

Planning and overseeing EYFS-led activities

Monitoring observations, assessments and development records
*
Building positive relationships with parents and carers
*
Maintaining safeguarding and health and safety standards
Hours
37 hours per week
7:45am – 6:00pm across four days
Salary
£26,378 – £29,672 per year
Salary dependent on experience
Holiday entitlement
6.5 weeks holiday per year inclusive of bank holidays

Requirements
Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
Previous experience as a Senior Practitioner or Room Leader
Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding
Confident leadership and communication skills
