Role Overview
Lead bids, manage contracts, and drive high‑quality subcontracted provision for a respected education provider. Shape strategy, optimise performance, and ensure compliance while supporting learners, partners and employers.
The Role
You will lead the development, negotiation and management of contracts and SLAs, coordinate high‑quality bid submissions and ensure exceptional subcontractor performance. You'll champion continuous improvement, quality assurance, risk management and strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate bids and tenders
* Manage contracts and SLAs, ensuring compliance and value
* Build positive external relationships with partners and stakeholders
* Oversee Apprenticeship Agreements and associated documentation
* Lead contract negotiations and ensure minimal organisational risk
* Monitor contract performance and drive improvements
* Manage subcontractor delivery quality and associated planning
* Conduct due diligence, audits and performance analysis
* Support teaching, learning and assessment quality
* Ensure achievement rates exceed national benchmarks
* Collaborate with internal teams to meet financial and quality targets
* Manage staff performance and development
* Uphold safeguarding, data protection and equality standards
Requirements
* Proven experience in bids, tenders, or contract management, ideally with end‑to‑end responsibility
* Experience working within education, apprenticeships, or training provision (highly desirable)
* Strong knowledge of contract management, SLAs, and procurement processes
* Experience managing or overseeing subcontracted delivery or partner organisations
* Ability to monitor performance, analyse data, and drive continuous improvement
* Experience conducting audits, due diligence, and risk assessments
* Strong understanding of compliance requirements, including safeguarding, data protection, and equality standards
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
* Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop staff or project teams
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
A current and valid ENHANCED DBS is required for this role.
