We are seeking an enthusiastic and industry-experienced Aviation Operations Teacher/Trainer to join our growing team at a forward-thinking college in West Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and develop the next generation of aviation professionals within a dynamic and expanding sector.
The Role
You will deliver high-quality teaching, training, and assessment across aviation operations programmes, supporting learners to achieve their full potential and progress into successful careers in the aviation industry.
Key responsibilities include:
· Delivering engaging lessons across aviation operations subjects ( airport operations, customer service, safety, security, and ground handling)
· Preparing and delivering both classroom-based and practical learning sessions
· Assessing learner progress and providing timely, constructive feedback
· Supporting students with coursework, portfolios, and progression into employment
· Maintaining strong links with industry employers and stakeholders
· Ensuring compliance with awarding body standards and college policies
About You
We are looking for a motivated professional with a strong aviation background and a passion for education.
You will ideally have:
· Experience working in aviation operations ( airport, airline, ground operations, or related field)
· A relevant qualification in aviation, travel & tourism, or a related discipline (Level 3 minimum; degree desirable)
· A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, AET) – or willingness to work towards one
· Assessor/IQA qualifications (desirable but not essential)
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· A strong commitment to student success, safeguarding, and inclusive learning
