Electrical Engineer – Maintenance & Installations (MoJ / MoD / Commercial / Retail / Leisure) Mobile Role – Various UK Sites £16.84 – £19.32 per hour (Depending on Experience & Qualifications) Permanent Position | Company Vehicle | Overtime & Travel Time Paid We’re looking for a permanent Electrical Engineer to work across Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence, commercial, retail, and leisure projects. The role covers general maintenance, fault finding, installations, and remedial works. You’ll be mobile across sites, so flexibility and professionalism are essential. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations * Diagnose and resolve faults quickly and safely * Work across secure, commercial, retail, and leisure environments * Take part in an on-call rota (1 in 6 weeks) * Maintain accurate job records using PDA/tablet * Follow all company and site health & safety procedures Requirements: * NVQ Level 2 or 3 / JIB Approved Electrician * CSCS Card and Full UK Driving Licence (max 3 points) * Must pass DBS and Enhanced DBS checks * Good IT skills (mobile job management systems) * Strong customer service focus * Experience in secure or high-pressure environments preferred Rates & Benefits: * Permanent Position * Electrician Level 3: £16.84/hr * Electrician: £17.68/hr * Approved Electrician: £19.32/hr * Overtime & Travel Time Paid: * 18:00–21:00 = 1.5x * 21:00–06:00 = 2x following day off * On Call: 1 in 6 weeks (£100 standby, 3-hour minimum) * Phone Allowance * 20 Days Holiday Bank Holidays * Company Vehicle (fully maintained) * Pension & Benefits Package Desirable (Training Provided): * Asbestos Awareness * First Aid, IPAF, PASMA * Manual Handling & Working at Height * Fire Safety Awareness
