We’re seeking a passionate and proactive Active Lives Development Officer to lead and shape our health and wellbeing programmes.
This role is a multifaceted, you will oversee the delivery of Active Blackpool’s Making Changes programme, a 12-week healthy lifestyle initiative designed for families with children aged 4 to 11 years, who supports families who are overweight or at risk of becoming overweight, providing education, fun activities and lifestyle behaviour change support.
You will also manage a team of Health and Wellbeing Coaches, guiding them to deliver high-quality, person-centered coaching that empowers individuals to make lasting, positive lifestyle changes.
Skills
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting demands
* Excellent communication and inter-personal skills – both verbal and written
* Self – motivated, with the ability to work under own initiative
* Good IT skills
This role is central to driving system change, working closely with public health, health and care partners and community organisations to take a fresh approach to prevention and early intervention. You’ll champion evidence-based health coaching models and innovative ways of working that tackle the root causes of poor health, reduce inequalities and create lasting impact.
