We’re looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer – Hardware & Platforms to take charge of designing and deploying the physical backbone of a high-security, multi-site platform. You’ll play a key role in driving the technical delivery of our platform services, working hands-on with enterprise hardware in a highly collaborative and supportive environment.

What you'll be doing:
1. Designing and deploying multi-site enterprise hardware platforms using COTS servers, storage, and networking.
2. Creating design artefacts including datacentre layouts, rack configurations, and cabling schematics.
3. Specifying and managing hardware components across the delivery lifecycle.
4. Documenting low-level designs, procedures, and disaster recovery instructions.
5. Acting as the go-to expert for all hardware and datacentre-related matters.
6. Supporting the implementation and integration of hardware within secure environments.
What you’ll bring:
7. Active DV Clearance.
8. Strong hands-on experience managing and configuring storage platforms.
9. Expertise in NAS arrays, RAID, storage replication, and fault-tolerant solutions.
10. Solid understanding of enterprise hardware installation and resilient design principles.
11. Proficiency in virtualisation technologies including VMware and vSphere.
12. Knowledge of networking as it relates to Windows Server/Clients and virtual environments.
13. Familiarity with modern cabling standards and best practices.
It would be great if you had:
14. Dell EMC technical certifications.
15. Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible and Terraform.
16. Understanding of datacentre power and cooling requirements.
17. Knowledge of secure environments and security regulations such as JSP 440 or SCIDA.
18. Experience with monitoring tools like SCOM or SolarWinds.
