Job Title: Teaching Assistant (with 1:1 responsibility)
Pay Rate: £95.31 - £98.62 per day
Location: Balsall Heath
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term-time only
Smart Education is currently recruiting for multiple Teaching Assistants to support a specialist educational provision in Balsall Heath. One of the roles will include 1:1 pupil support responsibility. Job Requirements for this Teaching Assistant role in Balsall Heath:
* Minimum Level 2 qualification (Level 3 desirable)
* Experience working with young people with SEN in a school or care setting
* Strong communication skills and a compassionate, positive approach
* Ability to work both 1:1 and with small groups of pupils
* Understanding of how to support independence, self-esteem, and inclusion
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupils welfare
Role Responsibilities:
* Work alongside class teachers to raise pupil engagement and achievement
* Support pupils with learning activities, including those with EHCPs
* Deliver personalised interventions and track pupil progress
* Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting confidence and independence
* Provide targeted 1:1 support where required
* Support social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Ensure pupils feel included, supported, and safe in the learning environment
