Lead IT strategy and infrastructure for a technology business operating in the defence sector, delivering secure systems across multiple platforms - with security, resilience and compliance being central to everything they do. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will shape the IT roadmap, mentor engineers, and represent IT at senior leadership level. You'll:
* Lead a team of Senior Infrastructure Engineers
* Own and improve on-prem and hybrid infrastructure
* Develop a forward-looking IT roadmap
* Work closely with the Managing Director and CISO
* Ensure compliance with ISO and security standards
This is a predominantly internal IT role, focused on strengthening and futureproofing internal IT infrastructure. Technical experience you'll need:
* Windows Server (2019 / 2022)
* Active Directory / Azure AD
* Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox
* Microsoft 365
* Palo Alto firewalls
* Strong security and compliance focus
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience as an IT Manager or Infrastructure Manager
* Experience leading technically capable engineers
* Strong knowledge of Windows infrastructure and virtualisation
* Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
Location: Tewkesbury - due to the nature of the industry and environment, the requirement is 5 days a week on site.Salary: £50k-£55kSecurity clearance (SC) is required.
