You will be working for an established two-partner firm of accountants with c14 staff in the Southampton area. The firm's clients vary in size and sector but all of them benefit from a modern forward-thinking approach. The role of tax manager will include being responsible for managing the flow of work and ensuring that all tax returns are completed on schedule (they currently deal with c360 tax returns per annum). This will include sending reminders to clients and general correspondence, HMRC correspondence, including tax planning and advisory work, as well as general compliance. A knowledge of CCH software would be a bonus but is not essential.
The ideal candidate would be ATT/CTA qualified with a wealth of experience in a similar role in a general practice environment and be happy working on their own initiative to ensure that all the tax work for the office is completed on time and within HMRC deadlines. They will need to be able to work as part of a small team advising other staff as required with regard to client taxation matters.
