Operational Excellence Leader (Bulk Operations) – Internal job title: Data Driven Maturation Leader.

Location: Elgin or Dalmuir – role can be based at either site but travel to other sites across Scotland is required.
Your new team
This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. The 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch, its sustainable future, and expanding its reach to new audiences worldwide. The Bulk Operations team sits within Production and is responsible for Filling, Dumping, Vatting and Warehousing, across Central Scotland and Speyside, maintaining high Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Operational Excellence standards.
Responsibilities
* Data Driven Maturation (DDM) – lead initiatives to reduce losses and optimize maturation lead time by deploying new technologies and processes using a data-driven approach. Deliver initiatives on the global DDM roadmap on time, gain strong internal stakeholder support, participate in the global DDM community of practice, help shape future initiatives, implement new technologies, coach operators, and articulate commercial benefits to Inventory and Finance.
* Process Improvements – lead the department’s "Drive the Performance" initiative, embed continuous improvement activities, develop and maintain KPIs, train staff in lean methodology, enhance RUN tiered meetings and introduce IMPROVE tiers for structured progress tracking, fostering a culture of continuous improvement focused on engagement.
* Project Management & Engineering – act as the interface between external and internal stakeholders to create user requirement specifications, support short- to long-term business strategies, including CAPEX budgeting. Facilitate change management, manage machinery procurement from business case to installation and commissioning, drive digital transformation, and influence strategic business decisions.
Your blend of talent
* Previous industry experience in an improvement-focused role and/or a relevant degree.
* Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related tools.
* Results-oriented with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
* Effective communication skills and a positive attitude with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Initiative and willingness to proactively learn new skills.
* Current UK Driving Licence.
