About the Role
As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, your primary responsibility is to repair and maintain our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they remain safe and roadworthy to both DVSA and partnership standards.
What You'll Be Doing
* You’ll be working on our large HGV fleet, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard.
* You will complete relevant sections of all inspections, services and defect sheets in compliance with our ‘O’ Licence obligations, using our fleet management programme Key2.
* You’ll stay current on best practices and commercial vehicle repair techniques to carry out high‑quality, cost‑effective repairs and use spare parts efficiently.
Pay & Hours
Salary: £35,000.00 – £55,000.00 per annum (based on skills and experience) plus readily available overtime.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑week rota (Week1 Monday‑Friday 06:00‑14:00; Week2 Monday‑Friday 14:00‑22:00) with an expectation to work 1 in 4 Saturday mornings at premium overtime rate. Evening premium: £3.25 per hour (18:00‑22:00); night premium: £4.25 per hour (22:00‑06:00).
Essential Experience / Qualifications
* City and Guilds Level3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualification.
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
* Proven background in commercial vehicle repairs.
* Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.
Desirable Skills
* IRTEC LGV C+E Driving Licence.
