We have an exciting role on offer within our Public Protection service as a Licensing Officer.
About Us
The Council’s Licensing Section, based in the Public Protection Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to join a busy team with responsibility for a wide range of licensing functions.
To be successful in this role you need a good standard of education, excellent IT, organisational and customer care skills, and be able to work as part of a team. A good knowledge of local authority licensing functions is desirable.
You will have a responsibility include carrying out administration relating to taxi licensing, gambling, street trading street to house collections and licensing functions under the Licensing Act 2003.
You will be responsible for providing advice and assistance to licensees and members of the public and accepting, processing applications, and issuing licenses.
As this is a career graded post, starting salary will be dependent on knowledge and experience.
