We are looking for dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our children’s residential service, supporting young people aged 12–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You’ll provide daily care, guidance, and positive role modelling, ensuring each child thrives in a safe, nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities * Support young people’s daily routines, education, therapy, and growth * Build positive, trusting relationships that promote safety and resilience * Safeguard children and follow statutory/organisational policies * Assist with life skills, hobbies, and educational development * Implement care plans, risk assessments, and accurate records * Participate in group activities, trips, and household duties * Support young people through challenging behaviour with patience and empathy * Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals * Undertake sleep-ins and occasional on-call duties where required Requirements * Good standard of English (written and spoken) * NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or working towards) * First Aid, Food Hygiene, or Health & Safety training (desirable) * Experience supporting children/young people aged 12–17 (preferred) * Knowledge of ASC, SEMH, or mental health needs (desirable) * Resilient, empathetic, and calm under pressure * Strong teamwork and communication skills * Over 21 years of age What We Offer * Salary up to £28,000 * Full induction and ongoing training * Opportunity to complete recognised care qualifications (QCF/NVQ) * Clear progression pathways within a supportive team * Competitive pay and additional sleep-in payments Apply today and take the next step in supporting children to reach their full potential
