Playgroup Assistant (Flying Start) - Fenton CP School
Salary: Grade 3 - £24,796 pro rata
This is a fixed term postion until 31/12/2025.
Fenton Flying Start is a friendly and welcoming playgroup, committed to excellent care for our pupils and good professional development for our staff.
Responsibilities
* Attend to the child's personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene and first aid
* Supervise and support children ensuring their safety and access to learning, including those with educational needs
* Establish good relationships with the children, acting as a positive role model
Qualifications
* Be able to demonstrate a reasonable standard of education with proficiency in literacy and numeracy to GCSE level or equivalent
* Hold a minimum qualification of QCF Level 3 in Child Care, Learning and Development (CCLD) or equivalent qualification as included in the Social Care Wales List of Required Qualifications to work within Early Years and Childcare in Wales
* Have experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age in either a paid, voluntary or domestic environment and will need to be able to show an interest in children's development and in a wide range of issues concerning their education and welfare
